It was awful difficult to get up Sunday morning, and everyone was starting
to really feel the effects of three days of camping, music, drinking and
fun.
Roy Book Binder - This was his
second "hands on" class of the weekend, and it was a bit over my head this
time but still enjoyable. He built off the previous day's lesson and went
from there. He also spent some time covering "Dropped D" tuning, and the
sound that it gives the guitar is really cool.
Verlon Thompson - I thought
it was pretty fitting that we finished off the fest with Verlon Thompson
considering the effect he had on Susan and I...and pretty much everyone
in our campsite. Perfect finish to the fest.
Here is Verlon signing his setlist, which he gave to Ron.
We finished the trip by making the drive back home. Worn out, but with a
big ol' smile on our faces. We are definitely going again next year.
