Our second go around...
Meeting Clyde...
I had met Clyde briefly during the Springfest music festival in March of 2005.
He mentioned during his solo set, that he was mainly looking to just play live
in Florida. My wife and I had just experienced great success with our first
house concert. I spoke with Susan, and she agreed that Clyde would make for a
great house concert artist.
I approached him after the set, and he seemed quite interested. We made it
through the rest of the weekend of Springfest, and went home. After some time, I
was zeroing in on picking Clyde for our house concert, and I came to
accidentally find out I would be seeing him live in early May.
The Gamble Rogers Folk Festival in St. Augustine, Florida came to my attention
through XM Radio. I heard an artist on XM that I liked, and I checked out their
web site. I think find out he's playing at that festival that coming weekend
when I'm off from work. I then see Clyde is going to be playing as well, and I
knew my wife and I needed to attend.
After seeing Clyde play at the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival, I approached him
again, and we got serious about setting a date. It wasn't long before we nailed
down November 19, 2005.
Our second house concert, and it was another great evening...
Clyde and Lorelei (his wife) are great people, who would be in among our inner
circle friends if they lived here in Panama City. They are "good people." Here
are some pictures that Mic took of the evening. Please keep in mind that the
photos are his property if want to use them for something else.
Clyde played for two sets, and then everyone joined in afterwards. This house
concert wasn't as well attended as our first house concert, but we had a lot of
competition that weekend. It was still a great evening, and we thank Clyde for
choosing to join us.
What follows are a bunch of photo pages of the evening's entertainment. All
pictures are the property of Mic & Geri Dottorelli. Thanks to them both for all the great
pictures (they truly are part of the magic behind the scenes that makes Music
Under the Moss so special).
