Big Brothers Big Sisters
I (Bart) have been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters since they opened the Panama City branch in the later part of 2006. It is not that much of a time investment, and you'll have fun in the process too. To date, Elijah and I have worked on his school projects, played golf, went bowling, launched model rockets, and goofed around with video games.
Special Olympics
The Special Olympics events are something that many kids look forward to year round. It offers them the chance participate in a positive athletic setting. The kids just glow after the event regardless of how they performed. Another event that is an easy time commitment where you can make a big difference in someone's life.
SoccerTots
Music Under the Moss recently made its first charity donation under the name
of the house concert. It was for SoccerTots which is a child physical
development program (for local disabled kids) that uses a variety of fun games
to delight and engage kids in physical activity. Miss Chloe was happy
enough to show off the shirt, and we're mentioned! As far as we're
concerned, this is not the last time you'll see donations made in the name of
the house concert!
